The list is based on quality of the track, how timeless, memorable and epic the track is, how big an impact the track had, and year of release. Maybe I should add that "Children" by Robert Miles would've been rated higher if it weren't for the fact that the track is actually a club/dance track, not really trance, but it certainly contributed to the trance music scene.
